Rain, Rain go away! Luckily we were spared from the rain on Palm Sunday and were able to enjoy an outdoor (slightly chilly) Easter egg hunt. We had about 35 children participate. Each went home with a basket full of eggs and an Easter story booklet which helped remind us that Easter is not just about the eggs! Thank you to Jen and Ryan, Judy, Amy and Eli, Jackie and Jesse, and Nancy and Jessica for helping to hide eggs and supervise the hunt.
I’m sure all of you are looking forward to summer and the end of all this rain! Conveniently, we all have the opportunity to escape for a week and visit the African plains. That’s right; St. Paul is embarking on a Prayer Safari July 11-15 and Sunday, July 17. I’m talking about this year’s Vacation Bible School adventure of course! Don’t let summer activities and vacations cause you to miss this exciting week. Watch for more information in the coming weeks; including volunteer sign-ups, donation lists, and pre-registration forms.
I am still in need of a few more volunteers for our Sunday morning program; the 5-week months really hurt! Please prayerfully consider trying out this ministry and becoming one of us! Contact me in person at church, via my church mailbox, or by email at shari@stpaulbloomington.org.
Our next Family Fun Hour will be on May 29th at 10:00. We will have the 2nd annual St. Paul Spring Fling. Look for details in the bulletins over the next few weeks and get ready for an hour of hopefully sunny, spring family fun!
I am so proud of our ministry and the work our volunteers are doing with the children of St. Paul (and their friends!). It is a privilege to work with everyone month after month. Thank you to all the Sunday morning volunteers.
Wishing for May flowers,
Shari
