How Long Is A Service at St. Paul?
In total, a service at St. Paul is about 60 minutes in length.
What Are Each of the Services Like?
In our traditional service, we participate in more formal liturgies (intentional words that we speak together) and sing songs from our United Methodist Hymnal. All song lyrics are also projected onto the screens so you can sing along or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. In this service, we accept prayer requests specifically from the community before praying together. After the music, prayer, and liturgy portions of our service, we will hear a message crafted by one of our pastors or leaders to help you live more fully into the life of Jesus. Occasionally, you will be invited to respond to the message by partaking in the sacrament of communion.
In our contemporary service, our praise band leads us in singing more contemporary songs (click here for a playlist of some of the songs we sing). All song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After singing and praying together, we take a moment to release our children for a special lesson just for them in our Kids Ministry. After releasing the kids, we will hear a message crafted by one of our pastors or leaders to help you live more fully into the life of Jesus. Occasionally, you will be invited to respond to the message by partaking in the sacrament of communion.
What About My Kids?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week – and at St. Paul Kids Crew (SPKC), we make that a priority. The other thing we make a priority is our children's safety, because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our Kids Crew. The first time that you visit, you might want to leave yourself a few extra minutes to get signed up for the Kids Crew experience. Kids Crew is offered only at our second service, and is open to children in Kindergarten through Grade 4. Because we value the opportunity of having children worship with their families, we release the children after our time spent in music and prayer.
If you have younger children (infants and toddlers), we have a designated, paid nursery attendant available to you at no cost for both services.
If you have students (Grade 5 through Grade 12), then we encourage them to stay with you throughout the entire church experience. However, we do offer a special gathering just for them on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00PM known as St. Paul Youth (SPY).
